"Registration was easy overall"
I signed up on asm.org and, the registration process was smooth overall. The form was easy enough to follow, and I didn’t really have to go back and fix much, which was nice... always a relief when that doesn’t happen.
Payment went through without any issues, and I got the confirmation email quickly. The only thing was that a couple of pages loaded a little slowly, so... I’d give it 4 stars.

"Had to Escalate Because the Event Was a Mess"
I was really looking forward to this conference, but the whole thing felt disorganized. Several sessions started late, the event app kept crashing when I needed it most, and when I asked staff for help, I mostly got vague answers or was brushed off. After dealing with the same issues for a while, I ended up escalating it because it didn’t feel like anyone on-site was taking the problems seriously

"I can usually find the papers I need..."
I can usually find the papers I need without much trouble, so that part is "solid." The site works okay overall, but the login can be a little annoying sometimes.

"Support was slower than I expected"
The site itself works fine, so I thought getting help would be straightforward too. But when I sent in a question, it took a few days to hear back. It wasn’t a terrible experience overall, just a bit frustrating because I expected support to be quicker, especially when I needed an answer sooner

"Login can be a bit annoying sometimes"
The site has some really useful stuff, but logging into my account was kind of a pain. It kept acting up and I had trouble getting access at first. It did work later, so not a huge deal, just wasn't very smooth tbh.

"Helpful site for learning micro topics"
I used asm.org for some of my class topics, and the resources was really helpful overall. It made a few of the micro stuff easier to understand. Only thing is, some pages was kind of hard to find at times.

"I’d think twice before paying for the membership"
I paid for the membership thinking it would actually be worth it, but i didn’t really get much out of it. For the price, the perks just don’t feel like enough. Just a heads up to anyone considering it, make sure you look closely at what they actually offer before spending the money.

"Why is it so hard to find anything?"
I was just trying to find some basic pages on ASM, come on now, it should not be this frustrating. The menus felt all over the place, the search wasn’t really helpful, and I kept clicking into pages that had nothing to do with what I needed. After a few minutes of going in circles, I just gave up. The site really needs cleaner, easier navigation.

"Didn't feel worth relying on for deeper science"
I expected more from asm.org. Some of the science pages felt a little thin and outdated, and a few articles simplified things so much that I was worried I might miss important details if I trusted them on their own. For microbiology info, I ended up double-checking everything elsewhere, which felt like a waste of time I was trying to avoid.

The membership costs start adding up fast, and it gets frustrating when there are so many steps just to figure out what you’re actually paying for. I don’t mind paying for something useful, but the whole process feels more complicated than it needs to be.

"Decent spot, though I’m still figuring it out"
I’ve made a few useful contacts here, which was nice. I’ll admit I’m still a little confused by how active the forums are supposed to be, since they can be quiet sometimes. But overall, it still feels worth checking in on.
